more like space

jsut wanted to call your attention to a new blog i've started to coincide with a new project. the blog is located at http://conversionfilm.blogspot.com/ and will track the development of a new feature film (from a script i wrote) that i'll be working on over the next few months.

this marks my first time being involved with film and the aim for the accompanying blog is to track both the development of the project and to record the steps that we go through in trying to realise a completely independent production.

so wish me luck and here goes... something.

i've always been aware that i have a tendency to frown a lot. my brow furrows when i concentrate. my expression when i talk to other people often involves an expression of curiosity or skepticism. and, yes, that means that i developed lines around my eyebrows at a young age.

what i'm realising now is that i may have moved beyond the point where "wrinkle" describes what's on my forehead. looking at the line- properly a "glabellar line", it looks a lot more like a scar than a line in the skin. it's a deep ridge that's obviously been there for a long time. if i stretch out the skin, the way it would be stretched if i had plastic surgery, the line is still clearly visible (although this procedure would give me these nice, almond-shaped eyes).

there are a number of options open to someone in my position. aside from the aforementioned plastic surgery, i can also choose to have my face pumped full of botox, or i could have a process called subcission, …

they say that the change in season creeps up on you, but i think that it occasionally leaps up and whacks you on the head. i don't know if this happens to anyone else, but i was out on friday night, checking out the weekly descent into comedic dada that is the too much comedy show. when i went in, there were buds on the trees, waiting, i thought, to bloom into that pale lime shade known everywhere as "spring green" over the course of the next few warm, moist days.

except that, a few hours later, by the time i came out of said comedy show *poof* spring had arrived. all those little brown buds had opened and, within a couple of hours, while i was inside, the world had shifted. at once strangely beautiful and startling...
